Integrated Process Feedback
Using a simple form segment, you can add the ability for users to provide Feedback on any part of your Process. The categories and severity of issues are easily configurable. Typical examples are to provide feedback on faults and suggestions for enhancements. All Process and user details are automatically stored with the Feedback Folder. Once submitted, Feedback Folders are routed based on severity and category. The Process allows a tracked dialog with the submitter, and the submitter may track its process.
Integrated Process Help
This gives you the ability for allocated users to create HTML help within the Metastorm BPM system for other users. You can easily empower a selection of more experienced users to perform this task as they work just by adding a form segment to any form. In this way the interactive help is kept up to date, and the overhead of creating user help is much reduced. It also fills what we feel is an important omission in Metastorm BPM in a seamless and friendly manner.

Create Folders from existing data
One of the most common requests is to create Metastorm BPM Folders from existing data. We decided to build a very simple process to manage this for just about any conceivable situation. All you need to do is add one simple flagged action to the Process, create an 'Import Folders' Folder selecting this action, add the TSV data file as an attachment, and the system does the rest automatically.
Proactive Error Reporting
The error log in Metastorm BPM is pretty comprehensive. There are, however, many errors that still go into the Event log and not the Designer Log. It is also required that an administrator actually looks for errors, rather than being informed of them
We have built a process that monitors both the event log and the Designer log, and can email you when errors occur. Spurious and irrelevant error messages may be excluded, effectively 'teaching' the system what to ignore.
Managers' BAM Dashboard
It is common practice for us to produce some kind of query and exception reporting for all Metastorm BPM systems we create. One very common 'minor enhancement' has been exception reporting on the state of a process. We decided to implement a user-configurable Process Monitoring system.
This allows you to set up alerts based on:
· The average and maximum time Folders remain at a stage
· The average, maximum and minimum throughput of Folders for any Stage or Action from that Stage
· The total number of Folders at any Stage.
These can be set up to send email alerts, or can be left open in an automatically refreshing 'Dashboard' form.
